The 14 day Everest base camp expedition is for many, the challenge of a lifetime and for others, it’s the stepping stone to higher and more challenging conditions.
Steeped in the history of climbing legends, you get the chance to trek through the Khumbu valley, across spectacular suspension bridges eventually leading to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar for a brief respite before heading to higher altitudes of Gorek Shep and Lobuche. On the way, you will pass through Tengboche and get to see the magnificent Ama Dablam.
Make no mistake about it; this offers a challenge for all but the most hardy. A battle of the mind as much as the body which is royally rewarded especially when you make the early morning ascent of Kallar Pattar to watch the sunrise over Everest. Not forgetting the Toe-curling and spectacular flight into Lukla.

Upon your arrival, our airport representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to your hotel. They will answer any questions you may have. We will schedule a pre-trip meeting at our offices with your trekking guide and will inform you of the time. No meals included.

Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
After arriving at Lukla and getting used to the mountain air, your expedition begins. After a relatively short day of trekking, you will arrive at Phakding and stay overnight at a Tea House. We end the day at a lower altitude than we started at Lukla. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Duration: 5.5 – 6.5 hours
After breakfast, we will trek along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River crossing hair raising suspension bridges. We then hike through a beautiful pine forest towards the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park for a brief permit check. Following on from here a steep climb into Namche which often takes people by surprise. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Namche Bazar is the first acclimatisation spot en route to Everest Base Camp. This famous mountain town is your last chance to shop for mountain gear and clothes. We spend an acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar, and we hike up to Syangboche Airport and Hotel Everest View, the highest placed hotel in the world at 13,000 feet. This place offers astounding views of Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

After breakfast, we head off on a journey through the forest to Kenjoma where the trail connects with Khumjung. The trek continues descending towards the Dudh Koshi River, followed by a steep ascent towards Tengboche. We visit Tengboche monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Depending upon arrival time, we may be able to observe a prayer ceremony performed by Lamas either in the morning or evening. From there, we enjoy the breathtaking and stunning view of Mt Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kwangde, Tawachee and many others. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Today we trek through trails through a coniferous forest to Deboche. From there, we pass a suspension bridge over Imja Khola river and climb uphill towards Pangboche village. We then follow the trails towards the Imja Valley, Lobuche River and finally ascend to the quaint traditional Sherpa village, Dingboche. En route, we come across colourful mani stones, prayer flags and breathtaking view of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Today is for acclimatisation. We will take a short hike to Nangkartshang peak for astounding views of the gorgeous Ama Dablam adopting the ‘walk high, sleep low’ adage to, aid acclimatisation.

The trail gradually climbs uphill to Dughla offering stunning views of Tawachee. En route, we observe the stone memorials with prayer flags built-in memory of perished climbers. Then, we trek towards Lobuche village; from here we see close up views of the mountain peaks of Nuptse, Lobuche and Pumori. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
We finally reach base camp today, and all of a sudden, the effort of the last few days feels worthwhile. First, we headed to Gorak Shep, and from here the strenuous trek continues along the alpine trails, moving through rivers, rocky dunes, and moraines. En route to Everest Base Camp, we observe a spectacular view of Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall. From there, you will have a much better picture of incredible peaks such as Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori. After a short celebration and photographs, we return to Gorak Shep and stay overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

In the early morning, we hike to Kalapatthar for a sunrise view over the Himalayas. This place offers the best viewpoint for observing panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Chagatse and Pumori. A real highlight of the trek you will have the chance to take photos before beginning your journey back. We descent to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then continue hiking towards Pheriche. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Today we trek the same route back and enjoy the relative civilisation of Namche Bazaar. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Duration: 6-7 hours
The final leg of our epic trek in the Everest region as we retrace the same path back to Lukla. Now is the time to reflect. We spend time strolling around Lukla village and enjoy the sightseeing. We close the sojourn with dinner in the evening. Have fun, dance, celebration drink with your team members.

Early in the morning, we will catch a scenic flight back to Kathmandu or Manthali over the Himalayas. Arrive at Kathmandu and, back to the hotel. You can take a rest or spend the rest of your day strolling around Thamel, Kathmandu sightseeing, shopping and many more activities.

The 14 days Everest Base Camp trek adventure comes to an end on this day. Our airport representative will take you to Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight departure. Here we say goodbye and end of our service. Breakfast included.
